#FundAFuture
THE PROBLEM
Beam is the world’s first platform to crowdfund employment training for homeless people and support them into skilled work. They focus on upskilling in areas where there are job vacancies, like nurses, care workers and electricians.

We realised that we had a fantastic opportunity to reframe charity sector advertising.
Instead of another heart-wrenching appeal for people to dig deep and #FundAFuture – people who at the onset of COVID were more likely to be concerned about their own immediate future – we could offer them an investment opportunity: Invest in someone’s training to do a job the country needs. This was even more compelling as the public became aware of key workers that continued to work as everyone else sheltered. Invest in potential, invest in Britain became the rallying cry. And #FundAFuture became the movement.
Here are some shots from the campaign...
“I was super excited when Ollie reached out to us back in May about Good Brains for Good Brands. It's an amazing pro-bono initiative connecting charities and social enterprises with creative talent who are out of work during the pandemic. Ollie pulled together a stellar team of creatives, art directors, copywriters and designers who worked on an incredible campaign for Beam called #FundAFuture. The GB4GB team managed to pull in a ton of favours from their network (including securing us some insane free billboard space) and were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. With Ollie at the helm, it was such a seamless process and the campaign was a huge success.”
